Overview

CommonSpirit Medical Group is seeking a passionate and dedicated Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join Academy Women's Healthcare Associates in Colorado Springs, CO. The Advanced Practice Practitioner will provide comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to women across the lifespan, focusing on preventative care, reproductive health, and gynecological care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Diagnose and treat medical conditions; develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams; foster a collaborative approach.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with healthcare professionals and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Quality Improvement: Engage in quality assurance initiatives and analyze clinical outcomes for improvement.
  • Compliance: Adhere to ethical standards and stay informed about healthcare regulations.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on medical advancements and participate in ongoing education and training.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • 1 year of experience in a clinical or advance practice setting, preferred
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty 
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing as Nurse Practitioner, from a nationally accredited postgraduate certificate program required. Must be a graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Graduate from an Accredited School Of Nursing required
  • Registered Nurse Practitioner Licensure for; and listed on the state Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Registry required. Board certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in applicable population foci and/or sub-specialty.
  • RN License required
  • BLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting
  • Have Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or have Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P), if applicable for role with associated articulated plan.

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
